TGT Mathematics
The primary goal is to transition students from basic arithmetic to abstract algebraic thinking and logical reasoning.
- Conceptual Clarity: Teaching complex topics like Trigonometry, Surface Areas, and Statistics using step-by-step derivation.
- Lab Activities: Conducting mandatory Math Lab activities (as per CBSE norms) to visualize geometric theorems or algebraic identities.
- Problem-Solving: Training students in time management and the "step-marking" system used by CBSE examiners.
TGT Science
Science TGTs must balance three disciplines (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) while fostering a scientific temper.
- Practical Work: Organizing and supervising experiments in the laboratory. TGTs must ensure students maintain a "Practical File."
- Integration: Linking theoretical concepts (like Ohm’s Law or Chemical Reactions) to everyday life.
- Diagrammatic Skills: Training students to draw neat, labeled diagrams which are crucial for scoring in CBSE Science papers.
TGT Social Science (SST)
This role covers History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics. The focus is on citizenship and global awareness.
- Map Work: A critical part of the CBSE syllabus. TGTs must ensure students can accurately locate items on India and World maps.
- Project Work: Managing the mandatory interdisciplinary projects (e.g., Disaster Management or Consumer Rights).
- Current Affairs: Connecting historical events or constitutional provisions to modern-day news to make the subject relevant.
